Annual Scalping

Spring scalping should be performed on bermuda and zoysia grass only. Scalping is the removal of dormant, brown turf, and promotes earlier green-up and helps prevent thatch and weed problems during the active growing season. This should be performed when you start to see slight greening in the yard, normally during the months of March or April.
